Maurine Richter

Maurine (Moe) Richter has been a member of the ATI speaking team for 8 years following thirty-five years’ experience as a classroom teacher and curriculum writer for pre-school to high school students. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with certifications in Gifted and Talented Education, Advanced Placement Curriculum, and Behavioral Management and Strategies. Maurine is also trained in classroom inclusion practices with special emphasis on teaching students identified with Down’s Syndrome, autism, and dyslexia in her classrooms. In 2008, Maurine was selected as a Teacher of the Year in Houston, Texas, a finalist as Teacher of the Year for Texas Region IV, and as recipient of the Christa McAuliffe National Spirit of Education Award. Maurine has trained over 48,000 teachers.
