Parents Who Say Their Child Does Not Need to Nap

While every child is different, most toddlers under 18 to 24 months log two plus solid hours of sleep during the day. Some toddler parents complain that napping during the day causes their child to stay up till late at night. Here are a few response options.

1. Share with the parent "rest period" is part of a healthy body, same as food.
2. Share with the parent children have a choice to fall asleep or not during nap time.
3. Share with the parent children have a choice to fall asleep or not during rest period..
3. Share with the parent that you will be happy to find a quiet activity. If the child fall's asleep, it's assumed the child needed a nap.
4. Rest time is a state requirement in many states. Licensing reps are typically fine with blaming this requirement on them when explaining naps to parents.
